As more advanced and groundbreaking techniques develop within the world of surgery, Speech and Language Therapists are treating greater numbers of patients who have complex dysphagia resulting from, or associated with, the procedures they have undergone.
This study day will showcase the work of SLTs in a range of specialities - exploring the difficulties their patients experience, the prognosis for recovery and specific management techniques which are indicated.
Featuring SLTs working in neurosurgery, oesophageal surgery, spinal surgery and cardiac surgery, with opportunities to bring along challenging cases you yourself have encountered to share knowledge and gather new ideas.
Cost includes refreshments TBC.
